I pinned these photos awhile ago, I looove her photograpahy. (are we friends on Pinterest?)
And happy easter weekend to you! We get a 4 day weekend here in Switz and instead of traveling somewhere we are using it as an opportunity to enjoy our couch, cook some good food, do some exercising, hang out with the brown dog, etc...it's been rainy too which adds to the awesomeness of staying in the apartment!! We did go to ikea..does anyone else come back with the same things everytime? I always come back with candles, plants and picture frames..always.
Anyway, Happy Easter to all of you!!

I won this print from Heidi Adnum and her etsy shop a while back now (I've been meaning to share it sooner! I keep it in my kitchen at the moment because it reminds me of those few and far between quiet relaxing mornings where I can take my time, make and enjoy coffee, etc. I like the quiet :) And this picture!

Swiss Sunday
Saturday, October 1, 2011
So, my favorite thing about the weekends lately has been going to the farmers market on Saturday mornings with M and Bama. We stock up on fresh milk, flowers, cheese and sausage - and I HAVE to stop by the lebanese stand and grab some hummus because it's the best I've ever had - and then I proceed to eat the whole carton within an hour, it's awesome. Anyway, here are some random pictures from last w/e!!

My wins :)
Wednesday, September 21, 2011
So Annily Green had this super generous giveaway and I won a gift card to her shop...I chose the above (a camera strap) and I can't wait for it to arrive! I also chose this but I almost got this! So, there were a lot of great things, that was NOT easy.
Pictures from the Week
Friday, August 5, 2011
Some random pictures from the week, out by the lake, BBQ'ing and swimming! One of my favorite things about German speakers is that they use the verb "to make" a ton - so when our friend asks us to come bbq he says "do you want to make a bbq" and I think it is the coolest. That's all I wanted to share. Have a good weekend you guys - I'm going to make a bbq, make a party, and some other things including purchasing our anniversary present to ourselves...can't wait to share that one :) and you?

when i take photographs, the ones that mean the most to me are captured when something I see makes me feel - when something i see is begging to be made in to something tangible. the photos taken from this post by Li+Belle at her blog remind me of that feeling - I love them =)
Happy sunday guys!

a foggy evening lake luzern from this past week. the weather has been grey and cloudy and oh so relaxing =) today we are en route to paris with friends who are visiting (one of my best friends since HS and her husband. It's been pretty amazing having them here - we were talking today about how great it was that we could be so far apart but whenever we see eachother we just pick up where we left off - you have to appreciate friends like that in your life (and take care of them)!
Also today, I'm sharing my idea of the ultimate travel destination at Elise's blog, Globetrotting in Heels. It's kicking off her "Sunday Trippin" series. Elise is a pretty great person, I have the luck to have gotten to know her in person since she lives in Zurich (thanks blogging!)

amateur Couture
Tuesday, May 10, 2011
I've blogged about Amateur Couture before, but it remains one of my favorites. She pairs art with fashion - and each pairing is so spot on - it amazes me how two different things from different arenas can relate so well. And you guyyyys, I want that dress.

*This David Thorne email skit thing is one of the funniest things I've seen in awhile.
I don't even know how to explain to you what it is, but it's funny.
* It Get's Better (a must see)
Is a video filmed by Apple employees that encourages kids who are being bullied, who are gay, transgender, etc - that it will get better. I wish everyone could see this!
* Fran DomÃnguez (a photographer)
His photos are with such attitude...it's not about the girl really, "but a lifestyle" he says. Would be fun to have a feisty photo shoot with him!
*A Watch
Seriously considering this.
*Blog Tips
A list of 369 blog tips, tricks and resources. Did you find anything good?
* a lovely, little shop spring sale

A Most Pretty Photo & Happy Friday to ya'll.
Friday, April 8, 2011
I can't get enough of the beautiful photos at this blog. Does anyone else try endlessy to get the perfect rain picture? One these days.
And I have no links today, but I do have a guest post over at Good Good, which is a blog I happen to enjoy a lot so you should check it out in lieu of my blogging disorganization and utter chaos after not having looked at much while I had visitors. While you're there I'll be here trying to whip this thing back in to shape. ciaooo!

Orange gauzy sunlight in the apartment - one of my favorite things. The other? That little brown dog (I swear he's happy but this picture makes me laugh).
Hope you guys had great weekends! Our happenings included a chili cook-off (very random) and a Fasnacht (carnival) party. Jen and I managed to throw a costume together in under 24 hours...which is impressive (for me) so stay tuned for pics ;)

+A pretty incredible Chianti Beef Stew that we've made twice in the past two weeks
+Howdy Heidi on Dirty Thursday in luzern
+Remember this sweater? It has been acquired and it turns out...I really don't have a problem with wearing it everyday.
+Remember this coat? I ran in to it the other day and it was very serendipity, so I bought it. And I want to write it more poetry every time I wear it. It's that good.
+Pretty sure these crystal stud earrings are magical.
P.S. I'm going to do a weekly newsletter...if you want to sign up! I think it will be a fun way to keep in touch on a different level. So far my plans for it are for it to be informative and fun, as opposed to a total waste of your email inbox space.

These photos completely stopped me in my tracks and I had to show you. I have this great love for mountains and especially snow-peaked quiet mountains in the middle of the night ever since moving to Switzerland. These were taken on a ski trip by blogger, Honora's, husband in British Columbia. If only my photos from our snowshoe excursion turned out as nice!

P.S. Today is the last day for the Noble Town Vintage earring giveaway if you are interested! Enter --> Here

Saturday, February 19, 2011
Hellooo Saturday, what's up? I'm on the hunt for a bottle of Chianti, I have to take my brown dog for a walk and THEN...and then we celebrate Marks birthday tonight with a whole bunch of people! I even organized it all myself and I hate organizing things because I'm afraid no one will come but EVERYONE is coming so now I feel better. I just have to find something to wear and I have NOTHING, nothing I tell you, not one scrap of clothing in my closet.
Oh, and this is my favorite picture from a day trip to Strasbourg, France back in January!
And here are some links that I love that I've been witholding for like 2 weeks which is why there's a football reference but I think it's still applicable, yep.
- Brilliant uses for vintage scarves over at EL Vintage, seriously..
- What a cute Sunday spring like outfit. I lv. the shoes.
- Going green getting out of hand? What do you think?
- A guys do's and don'ts for watching football with them - hilarious :)
- Kindergarten Krump. Nuff said.
- Random acts of Kindness inspiration, you'll be motivated
- This wedding is precious.
- Comparing yourself to other bloggers?...read THIS. Amen sister.
- I love this childrens room makeover, lucky kid!
- A little self-promotion...efreeme shop :)

efreeme + Sunday Photo
Saturday, February 12, 2011
So! I've opened up a photo shop on efreeme.com! I'm not sure how many people buy other peoples photography...but I thought it couldn't hurt to put it there, right? Do you have an experience with selling photos? (Shoutout to Amy for the encouragment :))
So, I chose efreeme because I've been working with Diana, the owner of efreeme, as a sponsor of this blog and she is wonderful. She is totally accessible and I've so enjoyed working with her over the past few months. Plus, her blog always makes me laugh. Always.
I also chose efreeme over other major online markets because listing items on efreeme is totally free - they take no listing fees or percentages of your sales which is, of course, awesome and the wisest choice for my wallet!
Efreeme is still young but it's growing steadily and now hosts 300+ vintage and handmade shops. They are still in the promotion phase so if you list over 20 items you will be paid $5 (which I did). Also, if you refer someone and they use your link and list over 20 items you will receive $5 that way as well. (here's my referral link if you decide to go for it!!). I think I'm going to enjoy watching it grow and change to accommodate its sellers and buyers - it's really interesting to be experiencing it from the beginning!
If you're curious to read more about Diana and efreeme you can read the introductory post and interview with her from a few months ago >here
