Christmas Cards

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

I interrupt any semblance of planned posts that I had to bring you these gorgeous Christmas cards. I've been reading Caroline's blog for awhile now and really love her photography...especially this beautiful snowy photo that she's made in to a Christmas card...brilliant!

Fathers Day Anyone?

Friday, May 27, 2011

Well, fathers day is sneaking up on us and I had a little extra time last night due to that too late cup of coffee (all because I wanted the chocolate that came with it (??)) so I started searching out some random fathers day gifts like:

// Barska Blueline Spy Scope - who wouldn't want to whip one of these things out?
// Stylish Travel Razor
// Steak Button Thermometer - because it's awesome and I want one
// All wood iPhone amplifier

Or maybe this sweet iPhone sleeve from Need Spply?
Or this super simple but cool brass key hook?

Happy Friday guys!

Thanksgiving

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

I wanted to share some Thanksgiving photos with you! I had so much fun looking at all of yours. As many of you read this interview, you know that we had just moved to Switzerland around this time last year and we had no idea what the foods were - so we ate soup out of a package after giving up! It was hilarious and memorable though - but this year, I think we can say that we're a little more settled=) We've been lucky enough to make some great new friends over the past year and had so much fun celebrating Thanksgiving with some of them! (Lucky for us they are "foodie" friends (weird term) and the food was insanely good;))

P.S. See my holiday gift guide collection for you here! (I add to it daily)

Holiday Gift Guides Part A

Saturday, November 27, 2010

I'm excited to tell you about this - Aimee from Chic 'n Cheap Living has been working hard over the past month with 10 different bloggers to coordinate a Blogger Holiday Gift Guide.  Each blogger (including me!) worked to create a gift guide with one type of person in mind. If you click over there you will find a variety of guides from the Etsy Lover to one for men (or mine, the Traveler). I love how they are set up and details for the store and price are also given. Thanks to Aimee for bringing on such a great resource for gift ideas!

A Thanksgiving Guest Post

Friday, November 12, 2010

I was super excited when Reni at My So-Called Life asked if I'd do a Thanksgiving interview for her series of "What are you thankful for" in honor of Thanksgiving.  I love that she's all in the Thanksgiving spirit (and I'm admittedly already creating Christmas lists)!
If you are so inclined, you can head over to read about my super boot-leg T-giving dinner last year and other randomness =)
Here!

(not sure I could have used the word "Thanksgiving" more, right? Thanksgiving Thanksgiving Thanksgiving!)

Valentine's Day

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Alright, so a few posts back I asked two questions. First one - What would be your perfect Valentine's Day gift? And, second, what are you doing for your significan't other? Valentine's day is almost here! So here is a glimpse in to how some other bloggers are celebrating!
  • Metropolitan Mum is being whisked away to a tropical vacation in the Carribean (jealous much?) - I hope you have a LOVELY romantic time!! And...now, that's an idea!
  • Kelly's (Kelly Leigh Gets Busy) perfect gift would be a set of oil paints so that she can DIY some artwork for their house...specifically for the new house they will be searching for on Valentine's Day! Good luck! <3
  • Elizabeth @ E Tells Tales's perfect gift would be a Kindle. And for her love, she will be making breakfast for dinner with his favorite Key Lime Pie for dessert =)
  • And me? My perfect gift would be a bouqet of beautiful tulips and a nice dinner out and jewelry. I'm just saying...ideally, here :) I'm planning on making my young man his favorite breakfast - homemade Swedish Pancakes =) He will know of my love through my sacrifice of waking up early to do this :p

funny valentine..s and a question...

Friday, February 5, 2010

I'm all for the sentimental stuff, I'm not going to lie...but getting one of these cards from KuroCo's Etsy shop would make me laugh!

And also, I have 2 questions...
1. What would be your perfect Valentine's day gift this year?
2. What are you getting/doing for your significant other this year?

If you celebrate V-day - Email me (asweetblog at the gmail) or leave a comment - I'd love to make a list and blog it! I'm sure we can get ideas from eachother =)
