Snowflake Christmas Cards

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

These Christmas cards are by far the coolest I've seen around. The seller explains, “This collage of snow crystal micro-photographs was originally taken in the 1920s by Vermont farmer Wilson Bentley; individual snowflakes were caught on black velvet and photographed before melting.”

Do you send out Christmas cards? Some years I do, some I don't - I'm definitely not on the ball every year (the guilt!), but I want to be!

P.S. These were my favorite cards last year

I love the idea of sending Christmas cards (btw, those are cool/very pretty!) butI'm never organized enough to do it. One more thing to add to the bucket list. :)

That is beyond beautiful!

I usually send cards out to friends who are out of the country. Stamps are getting so expensive here in Canada so last year I sent e-cards. Not the same but..it's the thought that counts?

I like sending out cards but I'm not on the ball very often, and I usually get a little angry about that. Holidays are busy and there's lots of good tv shows I need to catch up on.

I try to buy my cards right after Christmas to use the following year, like a true Scrooge!

cute! But with your little guy you should go for the old fashioned family portrait xmas card!

these are really beautiful. I love how simple and chic they are. I love sending holiday cards and since the baby was born I've always sent them with a photo. I send to just family and a few close friends. I don't like the idea of someone throwing a photo of my daughter away even if it's on a holiday card and I totally understand that people can't save every single card they get. I think they're fun and a great memory.

Those really are cool cards! I like how they're actual snow crystals *And* they're taken in the 1920s. There's so much behind it! We try to get them out every year, but I think on lazier years the list is a little shorter ;)

These cards are so pretty! I would love to be one of those people who do Christmas cards every year, but right now the mere thought of writing 50+ cards makes me want to take a nap.

Oh, who am I kidding, I want to take a nap anyway.

Can't remember the last time I sent out Christmas cards, maybe as a teenager I did my mom's cards for her?? Anyway, I love the idea of it, so maybe next year... Those snowflakes are pretty rad.
