I'm not usually one to jump all over trends (I still don't own any leopard print things) or get too excited about them (they'll just go away and leave me :() but this whole geometric/tribal business is another thing in entirely. But I like the simple and understated pieces best (not like this) - things I can build on and will still be wearable when the world has moved on.

Putting that together reminded me that I wanted to show you this thoughtful Christmas gift that I received from Mark (now, if only he had a blog about things he loved, right?) which is now my favorite thing to put on everyday :) (Image via Neest)

P.S. Thanks for all the love you sent to Chelsea at a lovely, little shop. Don't forget to enter the giveaway for one of her necklaces (your choice) at her blog..it ends tomorrow!

I see what you mean about this being another trend entirely. I don't see it as something that would so obviously disappear. You could wear these forever. I'm really liking that shirt! Ahhh.. can't wait for weather to wear those types of shirts again! Does it feel pretty much like spring for you now over there, too? I saw people wearing t-shirts the other day!

The necklace is so, so pretty!

I hear you on the trend comment. Sometimes they're just so darn fleeting that it's not worth it to stay on top of them. If I come across a trend I love, I'll happily embrace it - and wear it well after the trend falls out of the mainstream. I think tribal prints is one that has some longevity.

Perhaps I should start posting things that I love on my blog just before my birthday - if it leads to beautiful presents like your necklace you can't go wrong!

Loving the pillow. Fun print..but subtle enough that you could keep it forever and ever...or at least as long as pillows last, how long is that? dunno?
Anyway...hope you are having a great week...home stretch to the weekend!

I agree with you on the leopard although my girlfriend has a pair of shoes and I would kill for them....I love your list, one of each please. If you ever post about your collection let me know because I would love to see it!!

That is a gorgeous necklace :)
I'm the same way with trends. I just buy and wear what I like... I've been wearing leopard print since I was a kid and at times I was wearing something 'weird' and at times it was 'trendy'! Whatever. I like it, so I'll wear it, whether it's trendy or not! Wouldn't you rather be a trendSETTER, not a trend follower? ;)

I like it too ... it's sort of odd, I really didn't want it to become a trend a while back. just b/c I didn't want to hate it after a while. still like it, so that's good... we'll see in a few months (:
