Welcome back, Brina

Tuesday, November 23, 2010

I'm so happy to welcome back Brina (Sabrina's Second Hand/Vintage & Brinaroze) as a sponsor. She's been hand-making some journals and they are super cute! I'm using paper less and less lately, but that journal makes me want to spend some time cutting pretty things out of magazines to fill it up with =)
Do you still cut things out of magazines? I think I just need to buy them more then maybe I will?

(P.S. Remember the very inspiring Have a Heart project? You can read more about it and get to know her more on her blog, Rose Colored Glasses if you'd like.)

P.S.
I did an interview at this fun blog if you want to check it out ;)

I've actually never cut out of magazines -- I just keep the whole magazine, which is probably why I've seriously run out of closet and bookshelf space at my house! But this journal looks lovely and I could see myself happily using it for my sketches :)

I have magazine pages hanging on the wall here in my office, inspiration - tear pages out all the time. Old habits.

oh magazines!
I wanna tell you I grew out of that "ohmygoshlookatthispicture" phase, but I definitely haven't.
maybe I don't cut it out, though.
with good magazines, there's too much awesomeness to chop away at the pages!
leave it intact and go thru it often.

Hey, Thanks for the shout out! I was looking through my blog updates and saw my name. :)

I LOVE cutting out pictures from magazines and making collages- hence, the art journals! But I also have stacks of magazines I haven't touched yet. There's something about taking a pair of scissors to my beloved "domino" magazine that just doesn't sit well with me. }:]

I must be honest with you about the I am Silent I did not last very long. I just love to talk that it's nearly impossible for me to completely shut my mouth. I did try my hardest to stop whenever I realize I talked.

I'm sorry it's been quite a while Krystal. I do miss checking your blog regularly.

with great heaps of love

That's such a pretty journal! I used to make collages out of things I cut out of magazines. I still have several of them and love looking back at all the things I found interesting at that point in time. :)
