Post Secret
Do you read Post Secret?
This post card was sent in by an illegal immigrant and posted to his website...and then...
Within 24 hours, nearly 20,000 (and more now!) people had signed up for a Facebook group titled “please don’t jump,” which was later linked beneath the secret on the Post Secret blog, linking in thousands of supportive comments. On the group’s page, sympathetic users posted comments ranging from simply “I want you here” to “If I knew when you’d be at the bridge, I’d drive all the way from Ohio to meet you there, and hold you until you changed your mind.”
This gave me goosebumps and it made me happy to know that somewhere someone started that group for this person.

i love post secret. That is seriously cool.
ahhh hope the person is okay!
Wow this is so powerful. It is so sad to see people feeling isolated and alone. I hope he/she realizes the he/she isn't.

i saw this too... i'm glad to know that there are still people in this world that are so caring and selfless.
oh my gosh, thank you for sharing thing. that is the saddest thing, i wish there was more i could do to change people that think that way...
I'm so glad you're following my blog or I may never have seen this. I do read Post Secret, but not on a regular basis. Perhaps that needs to change. I hope the person realizes how many people responded to their plea for help.
I'm going to get a kleenex.
*hugs*

such a pretty thought to start that group. but I know many people think these thoughts sometimes to kill themselves. sometimes life is hard, specially for certain people :(
Omg how powerful!
I stopped reading Post Secret because it was a little depressing for me... it's an amazing initiative though.

I keep walking past the PostSecret books in the bookstore and wishing to just pick one up and take it home. They had a gallery exhibit of the postcards here last year but sadly I missed it. Incredible story, I hope the person was okay. It's things like this and http://ItStartsWith.Us that make this world that much better.
